Target Group

  • B1 and/or B2 Licensed Engineers who wish to add Boeing 757 RB211 to their Aircraft Maintenance License.
  • Maintenance personnel who hold a basic AML and wish to add type ratings.
  • Airline Maintenance Control personnel.

Recommended Minimum Requirements

B1 and or B2 Basic AML and Completed relevant Theory course.


Practical Assessment.


Easa Part 147 Approved Type Certificate of Recognition.

Course Objectives

Provide the learner with practical knowledge of the aircraft systems. The learner will be able to perform system , power plant, maintenance and function checks as specified in the Aircraft maintenance manual. Demonstrate the use, interpret and apply appropriate documentation including the FIM (fault isolation manual) and SRM (structural repair manual). the learner will be able to correlate information for making decisions in respect of fault diagnosis and rectification. describe procedures for replacement of components unique to aircraft type.

Course Content

Part 147 Approved task training which includes: Location and identification of components. System Bite Checks and tests. Troubleshooting process and procedures review.

How will this Course Benefit me?

This course with the B757 theory course will add the 757 Type rating to your AML. Students wishing to attain their first type rating also require Initial Type OJT in addition to the Theory and Practical training.

Gives the attendee an all-round knowledge and understanding of the airframe and engine type. This course enables the attendees greater opportunities in attaining work on the type.
