The Sky’s the Limit as Atlantic Aviation Group opens its 2016 Apprenticeship
Shannon based Atlantic Aviation Group (AAG) announced this week that they are accepting submissions for their 2016 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship programme. The 4 year paid apprenticeship includes practical on-the-job training at the company hanger as well as off-site theory based learning in Shannon and at Dublin Institute of Technology.
Proud History of Apprenticeship
Speaking about the announcement, company owner Patrick Jordan said “We at Atlantic Aviation Group have a proud history of training some of the world’s best Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and we are delighted to continue that legacy. We have produced the last two national skills champions and a world skills champion just last year. As we continue to grow, these apprentices will fulfill valuable roles in our company, so giving them the best possible training is key to this. ”
HR and Training Director Caoimhe O’Donnell explained why the company has such a great record at producing world class apprentices “Our 4 year programme trains apprentices to the very highest calibre. A large number of our on-the-job trainers have come through our apprentice programme in the past, so they fully appreciate and understand what training each apprentice needs. “
More information about the programme and details on how to apply is available in the apprentice section of the company website. Places on the programme are limited and demand is high, so it is recommended that anyone interested should apply as soon as possible. Closing date for receiving applications for the apprentice programme is Friday May 13th.
